On January 15, Chinese Ambassador Lin Lin held a Chinese New Year party with the Zimbabwean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Director and Deputy Director of the Protocol, Legal and Consular Department Mr. Faranisi and Mrs. Chenga, Deputy Director of Asia and the Pacific Department Mr. Mutiwazuka, Deputy Director of Multilateral Affairs – Economic Department Mr. Mukonoweshuro and about 30 other guests attended the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Lin Lin welcomed the guests with new year's greetings. He reviewed the development of bilateral ties in the past year and expressed gratitude for the Ministry's support. He said that the embassy is willing to continue to work closely with the Ministry to deepen exchange in all areas.

Director Faranisi spoke highly of the China-Zimbabwe relations and said that Zimbabwe is willing to work together with China to promote comprehensive development of bilateral relations in the coming year.
