Q：  It is learned that the US side has made a formal reply through its embassy in China to the Chinese side on the payment issue related to the April 1 incident.  Could you confirm it and tell us the Chinese reaction?

A：  Recently, the US side has informed the Chinese side through its embassy in China of its so-called decision on the payment related to the April 1 incident.  The US “decision”, in turns of both its content or  form, is by no means acceptable to the Chinese side.  China has rejected it outright and has once again expressed its strong displeasure and firm opposition to the US side.  We strongly urge the US side to correct its erroneous decision and give an early and due explanation to the Chinese side on the payment issue in the interest of finding a proper solution to the matter.
