Q：  What is your comment on August 9th explosion in Jerusalem?

A：  We have always been opposed to all forms of terrorist acts against civilians.  The Chinese Government condemns the bomb explosion that took place in Jerusalem on August 9th, which has resulted in heavy casualties.  The Chinese side has repeatedly stressed that the only right path at choice is for Palestine and Israel to resolve the conflicts through peace talks.  Effective implementation of the cease-fire agreement by the two sides is the prerequisite to fundamentally easing the tension in the Middle East.  We call on the parties concerned to exercise utmost restraint, avoid further deterioration of the situation, and take effective measures to restart negotiations as soon as possible.
