Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding addressed the China-Zimbabwe Business Luncheon, a productive gathering that brought together representatives from Zimbabwe's business community, Chinese enterprises operating locally, and heads of Chinese chambers of commerce.

In his remarks, Ambassador Zhou highlighted the robust economic and trade partnership between the two countries, noting that China has been Zimbabwe's largest source of foreign direct investment for years. Chinese enterprises have expanded their presence across agriculture, infrastructure, energy, mining, and manufacturing — playing a pivotal role in driving Zimbabwe's industrialization, modernization, and broader development agenda.

Ambassador Zhou reaffirmed China's commitment to strengthening bilateral exchanges and collaboration, and to supporting the Government of Zimbabwe in improving the business climate, removing growth bottlenecks, and further unlocking untapped cooperation potential to sustain long-term momentum for shared prosperity.

Participating delegates held discussions on exploring new business opportunities, maximizing the benefits of China's zero-tariff policy and improving the ease of doing business.
