Chinese Ambassador Zhou Ding Meets with Chairman of Zimbabwe’s Public Service Commission Vincent Hungwe

On 12 August 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding held a meeting with Dr Vincent Hungwe, Chairman of the Public Service Commission of Zimbabwe. The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation in human resources development and related fields.  

Noting that human resources development cooperation constitutes an important component of bilateral cooperation, Ambassador Zhou reaffirmed China’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Zimbabwe in talent cultivation, vocational education and skills training, sharing development experience, and advancing public sector capacity building. Such joint efforts will boost Zimbabwe’s governance efficiency and socio-economic progress, as the two countries work together to deepen and consolidate the all-weather China-Zimbabwe community with a shared future.

Dr Hungwe expressed gratitude for China’s long-standing support for Zimbabwe’s human resources development and capacity building, noting that China has helped train a large number of managerial professionals and technical specialists across various sectors in Zimbabwe. He voiced hope for further deepened exchanges and cooperation to improve Zimbabwe’s public service delivery and governance capacity, thereby providing robust human resources support for achieving the targets set out in Vision 2030.
