On November 11, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding met with Advocate Jacob F. N. Mudenda, Secretary General of the ZANU-PF and Speaker of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on deepening bilateral exchanges and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries.

Ambassador Zhou gave a detailed briefing on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), noting that the session has formulated a top-level design for advancing China’s modernization, mapped out a grand blueprint for its future development, and sent a positive signal that China stands ready to continue sharing opportunities and promoting common development with countries around the world. It will also inject new impetus into the joint efforts to build the China-Zimbabwe all-weather community with a shared future.
Emphasizing that the CPC and ZANU-PF enjoy profound affinity and solidarity, the Ambassador said China is ready to work with Zimbabwe to follow through on the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen exchanges on governance experience, and assist Zimbabwe in enhancing its capacity for independent development and improving people’s well-being.

Secretary General Mudenda highly commended the CPC’s governance philosophy and China’s remarkable achievements, and expressed appreciation for China’s long-standing, unwavering support. He stressed that ZANU-PF is keen to comprehensively deepen cooperation with China across various fields, working concertedly to write a new chapter in China-Zimbabwe friendship.
