On April 19 to 20, 2016, Chairperson of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Foreign Affairs Committee Mr Pan Yunhe led a delegation to visit Zimbabwe.

During the visit, Mr Pan had a meeting with President of the Senate of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Mrs Edna Madzongwe，and exchanged ideas with her on bilateral relations and experience of governance.

The delegation also had a panel discussion with representatives from 5 Chinese enterprises in Zimbabwe on the status of Chinese enterprises in Zimbabwe, and on further promoting bilateral economic cooperation.

The Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Huang Ping met the delegation at the embassy, and attended above-mentioned functions.
