On 31 July, Chinese Ambassador Lin Lin attended the 2nd Zimbabwe Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition, and delivered a keynote speech on China-Zimbabwe bilateral relations, especially on bilateral energy cooperation.

In his speech, Ambassador Lin gave a briefing about the development of the energy sector in China and the China-Zimbabwe energy cooperation. He said that China attaches great importance to energy cooperation, and is undertaking a number of major projects in Zimbabwe. He expressed China’s willingness to continue to share related experience and assist Zimbabwe in achieving sustainable social and economic development.

Representatives from the Zimbabwean Ministry of Energy & Power Development as well as the energy sector attended the conference.
