As one of the activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of China-Zimbabwe diplomatic relations, at the invitation of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Lin Lin delivered a speech entitled “ China’s New Development and New Opportunities for China-Zimbabwe Relations” at the University of Zimbabwe on April 30. The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe Dr Takaruza Munyanyiwa, the Dean of Faculty of Arts and the director of Confucius Institute of the University of Zimbabwe Pro P Mashiri, and about 200 teachers and students attended the function.

During the speech, Ambassador Lin gave a briefing about China’s new development, the difficulties and challenges that China is facing and the new progress and the future prospects of China-Zimbabwe relations, and answered questions raised by the audience.
