At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Viet Nam, Li Peng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress will pay an official goodwill visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam from September 7th to 10th, 2001.

During his visit, Chairman Li Peng will hold meetings and talks with the leaders from the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the National Assembly and the Government of Viet Nam, and exchange views on ways to further deepen the long-standing stable good-neighborly relations of friendship and comprehensive cooperation oriented towards the future.
