On 27 August, the Israeli troops assassinated Mr. Abu Ali Mustafa, General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). China strongly condemned the act and wishes to express her condolence on the unfortunate death of Mr. Mustafa. We always stand against any form of terrorism. We oppose Israel's "cleansing policy" towards Palestine. We are against Israel's assassination of political leaders of Palestine one after another. We once again earnestly call upon both Israel and Palestine to actively go along with the mediation and peace making efforts of the international community, express more sincerity and immediately unconditionally and comprehensively carry out the cease-fire accord, so as to create necessary conditions for ending the conflict and the resumption of the peace talks at an early date.
