The Chinese government has always attached great
importance to Africa. To strengthen and develop the friendly
and cooperative relations with the developing countries
including those in Africa constitutes an important part of
China’s independent foreign policy of peace. We adhere
to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and never
interfere in the internal affairs of African countries. We
support African countries to choose by the own their
political systems and ways of development fit for their own
situation. We support African countries’ just
struggles for safeguarding independence, sovereignty and
territorial integrity and fighting against external
interference. We support African countries’ efforts to
maintain and promote mutual solidarity, to resolve
contradictions and disputes through peaceful talks. We hold
that all the countries are equal and African countries are
entitled to participate in the international affairs at an
equal footing. We will continue to render economic
assistance to African countries within our capacity without
any political terms attached, and develop trade and economic
cooperation in various forms with African countries in line
with the principle of equality and mutual benefit, striving
for common development. Under the current new situation,
China will, in accordance with the spirits of
“sincerity and friendship, equality, unity and
cooperation, common development, and facing the future
”, build up together with the African nations a new
type of long-term, stable and equality and mutual benefit
partnership.
