Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding Attends Graduation Ceremony of Harare Polytechnic

On August 8, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding attended and addressed the 2025 graduation ceremony of Harare Polytechnic. The ceremony drew an attendance of over 5,000, including the Zimbabwean Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Hon. Simelisizwe Sibanda, alongside faculty members, students, and parents.

Ambassador Zhou extended warm congratulations to the over 4,500 graduates of the Class of 2025. He expressed hope that they would utilize their acquired knowledge and expertise to contribute not only to Zimbabwe's development but also to the strengthening of China-Zimbabwe friendship.

Commending Harare Polytechnic for its fruitful collaboration with Chinese colleges and enterprises, Ambassador Zhou reaffirmed China's commitment to working with Zimbabwe in empowering youth, advancing mutually beneficial cooperation, and boosting Zimbabwe's national progress.

Highlighting that Zimbabwe and China are all-weather strategic partners, Deputy Minister Sibanda expressed deep appreciation for China's longstanding support for Zimbabwe's education sector. He also looked forward to deepening bilateral educational cooperation and exchanges, pledging this would support Zimbabwe in achieving its Vision 2030.
