Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding Attends Zimbabwe’s Scholastica Conference 2025

On July 31, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding attended Zimbabwe’s Scholastica Conference 2025 in Bulawayo and delivered a keynote speech titled “Fostering Innovation and Talent Competitiveness: Lessons from China’s Education and Industrial Transformation”. Over 300 participants attended the conference, including Zimbabwean Minister of Skills Audit and Development Paul Mavima, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, representatives from higher and tertiary institutions and enterprises, and traditional leaders.

Ambassador Zhou systematically expounded on China’s modernization path and achievements, analyzed fundamental experiences in China’s educational development and industrial transformation, and highlighted China's recent efforts and outcomes in supporting Zimbabwe's infrastructure construction, industrial development, and talent cultivation.

Minister Mavima and other attendees commended China’s holistic approach to cultural heritage preservation and technological innovation in its modernization drive. They expressed Zimbabwe’s willingness to draw on China’s experience to advance the realization of its Vision 2030.

During his stay in Bulawayo, Ambassador Zhou also visited a local teachers’ college and Chinese enterprises.
