On July 14, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding hosted an open house event for Zimbabwean youth football athletes who were set to travel to China for training and tournament. The founder and director of Jadel Football Academy, young footballers, and their coaches visited the Chinese Embassy to experience Chinese culture. 

    Ambassador Zhou had warm interactions with the young footballers, noting that the Chinese and Zimbabwean peoples are as close as family. He emphasized that sports cooperation is an integral part of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, and the Chinese Embassy stands ready to work with all sectors in Zimbabwe to deepen such exchanges and boost the development of Zimbabwe's sports cause. He wished the young players excellent results in their tournament in China, encouraging them to fully experience Chinese culture and become young envoys for China-Zimbabwe friendship. 

    The visiting guests viewed an exhibition on China-Zimbabwe cooperation achievements, learned to use chopsticks, and tasted traditional Chinese snacks. The event was covered by local media outlets, including Zimbabwean Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) and The Herald.
