Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding Attends International Youth Summit of Africa Youth Congress

On May 25, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding attended and delivered a speech at the International Youth Summit on Land and Economic Liberation Freedom hosted by the Africa Youth Congress. More than 500 participants were present, including Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development, and Vocational Training Tino Machakaire, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province Charles Tavengwa, Chairperson of the Africa Youth Congress Taurai Kandishaya, and youth representatives from Africa and relevant countries.

    Ambassador Zhou congratulated the participants on the occasion of Africa Day, stating that China firmly supports Africa's independent and self-reliant development and is committed to strengthening China-Africa cooperation in the field of youth. Under the guidance of the vision of building a new-era all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future, China-Africa cooperation will surely achieve more fruitful results. He hoped that China and Zimbabwe would leverage the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to carry forward the traditional friendship and forge a prosperous future for the two countries.

    Minister Machakaire called on African countries to strengthen unity, secure land rights, promote economic empowerment, and pool youth strengths to drive transformative development for the African continent. He expressed appreciation for China's valuable support for Africa's youth causes, especially the development of youth empowerment in Zimbabwe.
