On 11 February, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding met with the First Lady of Zimbabwe Auxillia Mnangagwa. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation to improve people's livelihood in Zimbabwe .

Ambassador Zhou expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her staunch support for the development of China-Zimbabwe relations, and commended her dedication to the cause of women, children and charity, and her contribution to the improvement of people's livelihood through the Angel of Hope Foundation. Ambassador Zhou noted that the Chinese Embassy has jointly implemented many donation projects with the Angel of Hope Foundation, and expressed his readiness to further strengthen collaboration with the foundation to bring more benefits to the Zimbabwean people.

Auxillia Mnangagwa appreciated the Chinese Embassy’s persistent efforts for the betterment of Zimbabwean people's livelihood and expressed her anticipation for further cooperation with the embassy to  strengthen the China-Zimbabwe friendship.
