Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding and First Lady of Zimbabwe Attend the Donation Ceremony of Protective Supplies for People with Albinism

On December 11th, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding and the First Lady of Zimbabwe Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa attended the donation ceremony of protective supplies for people with albinism in Chitungweza, Harare. The Special Advisor in the Office of the President and Cabinet Rossy Mpofu, people with albinism and nearly 3,000 local residents attended the event.

Ambassador Zhou highly praised the First Lady for her outstanding contributions to people’s livelihood and charity causes in Zimbabwe, and emphasized that the Embassy's collaboration with the "Angel of Hope" foundation established by the First Lady to assist Zimbabwean people with albinism was a vivid illustration that the friendly cooperation between China and Zimbabwe always benefited the grassroots and vulnerable groups. He expected that the donation would make a better life for people with albinism and embeded their active reintegration in society.

Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa extended her gratitude to the Embassy for its long-term support of Zimbabwe's charitable causes. She remarked that China has always been a trustworthy partner of Zimbabwe, and the cooperation between the two countries has emerged as a paragon of international cooperation. She looked forward to more fruitful achievements in the cooperation to improve Zimbabwean people's livelihood.
