Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding Pays a Courtesy Call on the First Lady of Zimbabwe Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa

    On October 14th, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding and his wife Mme. Lyu Renhong paid a courtesy call on Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The two sides exchanged views on promoting cooperation in cultural and people-to-people exchanges as well as health care.

    Ambassador Zhou introduced the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s state visit to China. He highly commended Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa’s unwavering commitment to protecting the rights and interests of women and children and boosting local charities. He stressed that the Chinese Embassy is dedicated to fully advancing and deepening the friendly ties between the two countries and is willing to enhance cooperation with the "Angel of Hope Foundation" to launch more projects to improve people's lives and strengthen the bond of friendship.

    Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa conveyed her greetings and paid high tribute to Professor Peng Liyuan, wife of President Xi Jinping. She appreciated the precious support from the Chinese side in talent cultivation, health care and development of women and children in Zimbabwe. She looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the Chinese Embassy and carrying out more projects to uplift communities and empower the vulnerable.

    After the meeting, Ambassador Zhou and Mrs. Lyu gave interviews to the local media.
