On March 11, Chinese Ambassador Huang Ping attended the handover ceremony of Shamva Ming Chang Primary School at Shamva, Mashonaland Central. Mr.Saviour Kasukuwere, Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Mr. Martin Dinha, Minster of State for Mashonaland Central Province, Professor Mavhima, Deputy Minister of Primary & Secondary Education, representatives from the local community and Sino Africa Ming Chang Mining Investment Company attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Huang commended the Chinese company which donated 250,000 USD to build the school, and gave a brief introduction about the measures the Chinese side has taken in recent years in helping the Zimbabwean side to develop the education sector.

Minister Kasukuwere and other dignities who addressed the audience spoke highly of Zimbabwe-China friendship and Ming Chang Mining Company’s benevolent action in constructing the primary school for the local people.
