From January 19 to 21, the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission of China (ICC-NDRC) and the Zimbabwean Government jointly held a workshop in Harare, during which the two sides exchanged ideas on the progress and experience of their respective social economic development, and the opportunities and challenges in China-Zimbabwe cooperation. Chief Sectary to the President and Cabinet Dr. Sibanda, Minister of Finance Patrick Chinamasa, Minister of Economic Planning S K Moyo, Minister of Welfare Services for War Veterans, War Collaborators, Former Political Detainees and Restrictees Christopher Mutsvangwa, deputy ministers andpermanent secretaries of relevant Zimbabwean ministries, Director-General of the ICC-NDRC Mr. Cao Wenlian, representatives of the Chinese Embassy, and entrepreneurs from both countries attended the workshop.
On January 21, Ambassador Lin Lin was invited to address the closing ceremony of the workshop. He said that the workshop is a triplesuccess as a meeting for better mutual understandingand closer friendship, a meeting for better exchanges of development experience, as well as a meeting for better cooperation opportunities. Itmarked a goodstart for China-Zimbabwe bilateral relations in 2015.
The minutes of the workshop were also signed at the closing ceremony.
