On December 17, Chinese Ambassador Lin Lin attended the donation ceremony held by the Foreign Ministry of Zimbabwe and donated over$30,000 worth of office equipment including desktop computers, printers and smart phones to the Ministry. Permanent Secretary Ambassador Bimha and directors of different departments of the Foreign Ministry were present.

Ambassador Lin Lin said that China and Zimbabwe enjoy traditional friendship. Bilateral relations in terms ofhigh-level exchanges, political mutual trust, trade and investment cooperation as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges have kept strong momentum in recently years. The Chinese side highly appreciates the dedication of the Ministry in promoting bilateral relations and the support provided to the Chinese Embassy, and hopes that the two sides will maintain the close cooperation and cordial partnership in jointly lifting the bilateral relations to a new high.

Permanent Secretary Ambassador Bimha expressed the gratitude of the Zimbabwean side for the constant assistance and support China has provided tohelp Zimbabwe’s social and economic construction. Hewelcomed the donation of the office equipment, saying that it is another demonstration of the excellent relations between the two countries and would go a long way in assisting the Ministry to increase its efficiency. He pledged that the Ministry will continue to work together with the Embassy of China tofurther promote bilateral ties.
