CPC Delegation led by Cde. Guo Jinlong visits Zimbabwe

A CPC Delegation led by Cde. Guo Jinlong, Member of the Politburo of CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, visited Zimbabwe from July 15 to 18. During the visit, the delegation met with President Mugabe, held talks with ZANU-PF National Chairman Simon Moyo and other ZANU-PF senior officials, and laid the wreath at the National Hero's Acre. Ambassador Lin Lin accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

Guo Jinlong conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Mugabe, and spoke highly of Mugabe's contributions to the friendship between China and Zimbabwe. Guo said that the Chinese side is willing to expand and deepen the friendly relations between the two parties and countries to benefit both peoples.

President Mugabe expressed his sincere appreciation for China's support of Zimbabwe on its economic and social development and on international affairs. He stressed that the Zimbabwean side attaches great importance to the relations between the two parties and countries, and wished that the two countries could further cooperate in sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure and energy, and bring the bilateral relations to a new high.

During the visit, the delegation also attended the "Charming Beijing" photo exhibition and the "Night of Beijing" performances.
