On October 17, Chinese ambassador Lin Lin met with the new Sports, Arts and Culture Minister of Zimbabwe, Mr. Andrew Langa.

Ambassador Lin congratulated Minister Langa's new appointment. He said China and Zimbabwe have enjoyed long-term friendship and maintained fruitful cooperation as well as frequent cultural, art and sports exchanges. Recently, the art troupes from China have been invited to give performances at the UNWTO General Assembly and the Harare International Art Festival. China also invited the choir from Zimbabwe to perform in China. Ambassador Lin hopes that Minister Langa will continue to promote the exchange and cooperation in culture, art and sports between China and Zimbabwe in his new post.

Minister Langa spoke highly of the friendly relations between China and Zimbabwe and expressed his strong desire to strengthen cooperation with China.
