Hon. Webster Shamu, Minister of Media, Information and Publicity,

Honorable ministers and senior officials,

Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

It’s a great pleasure to be invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition in celebration of 30th anniversary of China-Zimbabwe diplomatic relations. On behalf of the Chinese government and Chinese Embassy, let me begin by expressing my warn welcome to all of distinguished guests both from China and Zimbabwe for your presence.

As we all know, China and Zimbabwe enjoy profound traditional friendship. In the past 30 years, the friendly cooperation between our two countries in every field such as politics, economy, health, culture, education, sport etc. has yields delightful results continuously, which has brought tangible benefits to peoples of both sides.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The photo exhibition will last two days. All pictures come from the archives of Xinhua News Agency and Chinese embassy. Although they capture only a small part of memorial moments in the history of our two countries, I believe that they could serve the purpose of deepening mutual understanding and expanding friendly relations between the peoples of our two countries.

Please enjoy the exhibition. I wish the exhibition a complete success. I thank you!
