Q: It’s reported that Shintaro Ishihara, a Japanese right wing politician made some slanderous remarks again, accusing Chinese people as “Zhina” people and suggesting a cut of Japanese assistance to China，so as to use the money to  deport those Chinese in Japan. What’s your comment on that?

A: We express our strong indignation and condemnation to Shintaro Ishihara’s blatant and slanderous attack on China and his remarks hurting the feelings of the Chinese people.

The development of good-neighbourly and friendly relations between China and Japan conforms to the fundamental interests and mutual aspiration of the two peoples. It’s also an irreversible historical trend. Any attempt to destroy the friendship is unpopular and doomed to failure.
