Good Morning! I feel very pleased to attend today’s inauguration ceremony. First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the China Confucius Foundation for bringing the Confucius statue to the Confucius Institute in the
Everybody present here is no stranger to Confucius. Confucius was a great educator. He had a famous saying: “Isn’t it a pleasure to review and practice what you have learnt”(学而时习之,不亦说乎). This reminds me of my practice of speaking Shaona. He also pointed out that: “The learning process is most rewarding when there’s immense interest in it”(知之者不如好之者,好之者不如乐之者). Confucius Institute will take inspiration from Confucius’s sayings and make the teaching and learning a pleasure.
Confucius was also a great thinker. Much of the thinking and philosophy of Confucius represent the best of Chinese culture. As you may know, there have been enormous changes and development in
