On July 3, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding met with Chairman of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission Michael Reza. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation in anti-corruption.
Ambassador Zhou introduced China's outstanding achievements in the construction of its anti-corruption system and in its fight against corruption. Stating that China attaches great importance to strengthening international cooperation in anti-corruption, he highlighted China's readiness to take the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zimbabwe as an opportunity to further enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the field of anti-corruption, support Zimbabwe to strengthen its anti-corruption capacity, make its business environment more attractive, and jointly advance the construction of the clean Belt and Road.
Reza noted that Zimbabwe and China enjoy a profound traditional friendship, with China being a trustworthy friend and good partner, as well as a role model for Zinbabwe in anti-corruption endeavors. He articulated hope to learn more from China's advanced experience and effective practices, and to deepen anti-corruption exchanges with China, aiming to facilitate more fruitful cooperation across various sectors between the two countries.
