　　Good evening! It gives me great pleasure to be here, at this beautiful theatre, and with so many friends, to enjoy the wonderful performance to be presented by Chinese Acrobatic and Juniors’ Performing Art Troupe. Please allow me, on behalf of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, to extend my warm welcome and deep appreciation to the Chinese art troupe who took a long journey from China to Zimbabwe. 　　

　　尊敬的中国杂技和少儿艺术表演团王团长，　　

　　各位来宾朋友们，　　

　　女士们、先生们：　　

　　今天，我非常高兴能与各位朋友欢聚一堂，欣赏中国杂技和少儿艺术表演团带来的精彩演出。请允许我代表中国驻津巴布韦使馆，向各位来宾表示热烈欢迎，并向来自中国的艺术团表示诚挚的谢意。　　

　　Now I would like to say some words about Chinese Acrobatic and Juniors’ Performing Art Troupe. This group is composed of 26 artists from “The Little Plum Blossom” Art troupe of Beijing Zhongguancun No.1 Primary School and Tianjin Acrobatic Company. Although they are very young, the youngest among which is only 9 years old, they have participated in many successful performances in China and abroad. Tonight the young Chinese artists will put on a performance with Chinese traditional opera, acrobatics, dance and folk music. We also have the chance to enjoy traditional African dance by the lovely little artists from Glen View 8 Primary School of Zimbabwe and songs by the chorus of Zimbabwe College of Music.　　

　　现在，我想向各位介绍一下中国杂技和少儿艺术表演团。他们由来自北京市中关村第一小学“小梅花”艺术团和天津市杂技团的26名演员组成。演员们都非常年轻，最小的演员只有9岁，但他们已经多次在海内外各地进行了成功演出。今晚，来自中国的年轻演员们将为大家表演中国传统戏剧、杂技、舞蹈和民歌。我们还有机会欣赏津巴布韦可爱的小学生们表演的非洲传统舞蹈，以及津巴布韦音乐学院合唱队演唱的歌曲。　　

　　China is a country with long history and rich culture like Zimbabwe. The traditional operas, acrobatics, dances and music are our intangible heritage which symbolizes the flourish Chinese civilization and deserves to be passed down. I believe it is the same case with Zimbabwe. I also believe that cultural exchange is a powerful means which can bridge the gap between people from different cultures and draw their hearts closer. I sincerely hope that the visit of these young Chinese artists will solidify this bridge between our two peoples.　　

　　中国和津巴布韦一样，拥有悠久的历史和灿烂的文化。我们的传统戏曲、杂技、舞蹈和音乐都是中华文明的无形瑰宝，应该一代代传承下去。我相信在津巴布韦也是同样的情况。我也相信，文化交流能在不同民族间架起沟通的桥梁，拉近彼此心灵的距离。我真诚地希望中国年轻演员们的此次访问能使中津两国人民之间的友谊之桥更加坚固。
